DUB created another wave within our musical history. KING YELLOW-MAN, U-ROY, BRIGADIER JERRY, and the duo, MICHIGAN AND SMILEY took the DJ era with the drum and bass, Bringing their own unique style, and patern. SLY AND ROBBIE picked up the batton when BOB MARLEY had passed on in flesh, With BLACK UHURU only see them claiming THE FIRST REGGAE GRAMMY at a time everyone thought the music had died with BOB MARLEY passing. Many artistes begon to contribute to the growt of Reggae Music. New talents was always emerging to the forefront.

I-CIENT-CY MAU IS A PROLIFIC ARTIST that will leave you pondering after hearing the lyrics to his songs.. Soon to be one of Jamaica's Reggae Ambassadors, born and raised in the outmost parts of Jamaica’s Ghettos namely Trench Town, and Central Village in Spanish Town. ICIENTCY developed his skill using his everyday struggles and the strong influences from some of Jamaica’s Greatest Musical Ambassadors. Trench Town being the catalyst for Reggae Music, ICIENTCY has inherited that unique sound founded by his predecessors. His debute album"WHEN WORDS COME TO LIFE" has a roots rock sound, mix with a combination of strong vocals over the melody drum and bass. It is the true ghetto experience, all blended in a harmony. The first two single off the album "WORKS TO DO"and "CANN FOLLOW NONE A DEM"pack a solid one two punch, that will, have the world wanting more. “WORKS TO DO” spent THIRTHY THREE (33) weeks on THE BESS FM CULTURE charts and spent EIGHT (8) weeks at number ONE in Jamaica. The video is as compelling as the lyrical content to the song. ICIENTCY’S performance in the video is energizing and makes us realize that we all have “WORKS TO DO”. “CANN FOLLOW NONE A DEM" is currently on heavy rotation on radio and is considered as an inspiration prayer for many of ICIENTCY’S fans world wide.“STRUGGLE”, “NOTHING IS FOR FREE” is a song that everyone can relate to as it pretains to our day to day lives. “WE ARE FROM TRENCH TOWN” will have everyone claiming that they are too from Trench Town, "WHEN WORDS COME TO LIFE" is the title song for the album that will let us all know that the words we choose brings about the reality we all live.
